DIGIS3 news: updates, initiatives, and technology opportunities

DIGIS3 will participate in Startup Olé 2022, to be held in Salamanca, on the 5th, 6th and 7th September. Now the eighth Startup Olé event will take place, this is a great technology event that brings together the European and international ecosystem.

Promoted by the EU, Salamanca will lead the digitisation of companies in the region. This is how the headline of the news article published in the La Gaceta newspaper highlights the European Commission’s selection of DIGIS3 as one of the twelve Spanish proposals to be a candidate for EDIH, the Digital Innovation Centre.

Our partner DIHBU, member of DIGIS3, offers a unique opportunity to development companies, startups and knowledge centres, participating in the selection process to show their technological solutions linked to Industry 4.0, through a free stand for technology exhibition, at the Burgos Industry 4.0 Technology Meeting 2022, which has national visibility.

The update of the Rules of Procedure will be applicable to upcoming calls for proposals. It includes new considerations of the eligibility of solutions and types of beneficiaries (such as civil societies), redefinition of deadlines and more types of electronic signature for processing.

The European Commission (CE) is launching the Get digital, go green & be resilient initiative, primarily focused on creating a catalogue of solutions, reducing the overall energy consumption and resilience of industry's supply chain.

The awards consist of 9 categories: Honour Award, Social Action, Foreign Markets, Business Operation, Most Innovative Product, Human Resources, Environmental Sustainability and Young Company.

DIGIS3 becomes a benchmark for digital innovation in Castilla y León, thanks to the approval of the proposal submitted on 22 February 2022, to become a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH).

The Digital Innovation Hub Industry 4.0 (DIHBU), member of the DIGIS3 consortium, participates as co-applicant in this initiative focused on improving the level of sustainability of the Mexican industry, from the European environment, being the only Spanish participant. 

Both DIHs, which coincide in terms of their industrial focus and operating structure, met on 1 July to verify lines of collaboration and exchange experiences.

The European Commission has approved the candidacy of DIGIS3, of which AIR Institute is a member, to become part of the European Network of Digital Innovation Hubs. DIGIS3, with a budget of just over €3,447,000 for the next three years, has been selected from among more than 300 applications shortlisted by the Member States.
