DIHBU, member of DIGIS3, attends the annual convention of the European network DIH², in Brussels.

On 10 May, DIHBU, a member of DIGIS3, attended the annual convention of the European DIH² network in Brussels, as a centre specialising in the application of industrial robotics solutions.

The event brought together European DIHs, regional authorities and representatives of European institutions to exchange views on the role of industrial robotics in manufacturing in Europe.

Lidia Gómez, DIHBU project technician, travelled to Brussels to present the capabilities and interests of the Digital Innovation Hub Industry 4.0, in terms of services related to industrial robotics, as a member of DIGIS3. In addition, it was an opportunity to focus on its participation as collaborators in European projects linked to technical training in these technologies such as the EAGLE project.

The participants exchanged success stories from the different Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) participating in the DIH² network. They also discussed upcoming European funding opportunities in the field of robotics and explored possible collaborations in future projects.

They also took the opportunity to disseminate the objectives, challenges, and services of DIGIS3, generate contacts and assess future collaborations between DIGIS3, as a member of the European Network of EDIHs, and the other DIHs that attended the event and are part of the DIH2 Network.

The DIH² project is funded by Horizon 2020, and involves numerous collaborating DIHs, DIHBU being one of them, which represent the European digital innovation centre DIGIS3, in providing support services linked to industrial robotics projects.

The aim of the European DIH² network is to generate innovation leading to maximised productivity and optimised agile production among SMEs and manufacturing Midcaps in the European Union, as well as to improve the cost-effectiveness of advanced robotics solutions and drive the growth of the robotics market.
