DIGIS3 news: updates, initiatives, and technology opportunities

The objective is to increase the power of the Caléndula supercomputer at the Supercomputing Center of Castilla y León (SCAYLE) to meet the growing demand from researchers and companies.

Föra Forest Technologies SSL is a company dedicated to the forestry sector, which is associated with DIGIS3 and is also a partner of DIH-LEAF. Föra Forest celebrated its tenth anniversary on 18 October with an event that addressed numerous topics, including the importance of obtaining reliable data and the challenges of artificial intelligence applied to the sector.

The initiative of AIR Institute, a member of DIGIS3, will feature a panel of experts on November 24 at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Salamanca.

The University of León, member of DIGIS3, hosted an internal coordination meeting of the project in order to promote the implementation of activities and services on the part of the research groups and to facilitate coordination.

The myQLM course was held today. It was organised by the technical office of the Supercomputing Centre of Castilla y León (SCAYLE), in the framework of the DIGIS3 project.

The event, which was supported by DIGIS3, showcased projects linked to technologies such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence and robotics.

The initiative coordinated by AIR Institute, member of DIGIS3, is holding "Quantum Technology" event on Friday, October 27, starting at 10 a.m., with two conferences and a roundtable.

The course is taking place this week in the IoT classroom of the School of Industrial, Computer and Aerospace Engineering. In addition to this course, which is part of DIGIS3 initiatives, another seminar is scheduled for November on 'Automation and Digitization in Industry'.

This is the third edition, which will be held on October 24 and 25 at the Palacio de Congresos Fórum Evolución Burgos with free admission. The event will showcase a range of national and international technology demonstrators, each at their own stand, where they will present innovative solutions.
