Horizonte Rural 5.0 is an initiative led by DIGIS3 in collaboration with the AIR Institute and the BISITE Research Group at the University of Salamanca, aimed at driving digital transformation across rural regions.
The first edition took place online on 17 December 2024 and brought together more than 25 institutions and organisations, including the Regional Government of Castilla y León, the Network of Technological Centres of Castilla y León (NODDO), the University of Salamanca, ITCL Technology Centre, La Factoría Rural, Rural Innovation Hubs, Wembley Studios, Pixel Innova, ICECYL and DIH-LEAF, among many others.
This year, the second edition will be held in person on 3 December 2025 at the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering in Béjar (Salamanca). The event is free to attend and aims to promote innovation, strengthen collaboration among organisations, and drive technological development in rural areas. Participants will have the chance to attend talks and panel discussions, explore tools, technologies and strategies, connect with key stakeholders, and take part in structured networking sessions.
Further information, including the full agenda and free registration for the second edition of the Horizonte Rural 5.0 Conference, is available on the event website.
