Content creators, researchers, scientists, artists, entrepreneurs and professionals from different fields gathered at COMHIS 2026, as part of Salamanca Tech Summit, to connect projects and foster collaborations centred on Hispanic leadership.
The initiative was launched by the Chair in Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence and the Demographic Challenge (DemIA) at the University of Salamanca, an entity affiliated with DIGIS3, which invited the Castilla y León EDIH to lend its name to the awards for its Ideathon. The initiative aims to create value across the Hispanic world by connecting different disciplines and territories while integrating the use of new technologies.
In collaboration with the Madrid-based startup accelerator Tetuan Valley, the Ideathon was successfully carried out, giving participants the opportunity to develop a team-based proposal to strengthen their existing projects or create entirely new ones, following a practical and realistic approach.

The three winners (HispanIApp, LabSafe360 and Your Choice) received the DIGIS3-COMHIS Entrepreneurial Initiative Award, which includes a personalised support service from DIGIS3 to help transform ideas into structured and viable projects. In addition, DIGIS3 will provide them with an initial project assessment, tailored mentoring sessions, guidance on validation and business models, support in identifying funding opportunities, and connections with the DIGIS3 innovation ecosystem.

“HispaniAPP” received the first DIGIS3-COMHIS award at the COMHIS 2026 Ideathon.
We would like to thank the organisers of COMHIS for involving DIGIS3 and allowing us to be part of such an inclusive event.
