Purpose
The subsidies regulated in this call are intended to facilitate the financing of business projects aimed at promoting innovation in cybersecurity applied to processes, products, and services in companies in Castilla y León, contributing to strengthening business capabilities in the field of cybersecurity.
This call shall not apply to the sectors excluded in Article 1 of the de minimis Regulation, as established in the first base of the Order of Bases.
These subsidies fall within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), and specifically, are issued in the development of Component 15 “Digital connectivity, boost to cybersecurity and deployment of 5G” and Investment 7 “Cybersecurity: Strengthening the capabilities of citizens, SMEs and professionals; and promotion of the sector’s ecosystem” of the aforementioned PRTR.
Beneficiary companies
SMEs and midcaps with a workplace in Castilla y León that carry out business projects considered as eligible for subsidies, in accordance with the specific provision four of this call, may qualify as beneficiary companies.
Amount
The aid will consist of a non-repayable grant determined as a fixed minimum percentage of 70% of eligible expenses.
The final percentage may be increased based on different quantification criteria, with the maximum applicable percentage being 80% in any case.
Eligible projects
The following types of projects aimed at promoting innovation in cybersecurity applied to processes, products, and services are considered eligible:
a) Type A projects: individual innovation projects in cybersecurity applied to business processes, which will allow any company with its registered office, or at least one workplace in Castilla y León, to improve its level of cybersecurity applied to any business process, with the collaboration of specialized professionals who enable them to address this cybersecurity challenge (companies belonging to the digital sector are excluded as beneficiaries according to base four, section 3).
b) Type B projects: individual or collaborative projects (minimum of 3 SMEs and maximum of 5) of innovation in cybersecurity applied to products and services, developed by the company itself, enabling it to ensure that its products and services are more secure and comply with the cybersecurity standards required by European and national regulations, thereby ensuring the required cybersecurity protection for its clients.
Applications, form, submission period
In accordance with Article 14 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, electronic processing will be mandatory in all phases of the procedure and will be carried out through the electronic headquarters https://www.tramitacastillayleon.jcyl.es.
The deadline for submitting applications is December 31, 2025, or upon publication of the extract of a new call or its closure.
