The "Commitment to Innovation in 2024: Keys to Success" conference was held this week at the Hotel Zentral Parque in Valladolid, organised by the Digital Innovation Hub Industry 4.0 (DIHBU), a member of DIGIS3, and 7Experts. The event was supported by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and CDTI Innovation, bringing together expert speakers who discussed the benefits of investing in innovation and shared their thoughts on how to do it successfully.
The event started with a welcome speech and a presentation on "The Funding of Innovation in Spain" by Emilio Iglesias, Head of the Department of Institutional Promotion and Territorial Cooperation, Directorate of EU Programmes and Territorial Cooperation at CDTI. This was followed by a roundtable discussion on the "Benefits of Investment in R&D&I" with presentations by professionals such as Belén Lanuza, Managing Director of DIHBU and representative of DIGIS3; Alejandro Rodríguez, Project Manager and Head of the Technical Office for Next Generation Funds at 7Experts; Jorge Lorenzo, Head of Innovation, Quality, Compliance & Sustainability at Grupo TecoZam; Iván Martín, co-founder of Innusual, and Yolanda Ballesteros, Deputy Director of Innovation at Socamex.
According to the organisers, the conference was a success thanks to "speakers who are passionate about innovation, a high quality debate enriched by their valuable experiences and a participative and interactive audience that contributed to the enrichment of the event". The networking space that followed helped the attending companies and SMEs to further promote innovation in Castilla y León, as well as in the rest of Spain.
