Objective
This call aims to grant subsidies to finance research and development projects in artificial intelligence and other dual-use technologies, and their integration into value chains.
Beneficiaries
Eligible beneficiaries are companies (as defined in Article 1 of Annex I and paragraphs 2 and 24 of Article 2 of Regulation (EU) No. 651/2014) that meet the requirements established in Article 6 of the Regulatory Bases and in the third section of the call. Excluded are public companies, public law entities, non-profit entities, associations, foundations, groups of individuals or legal persons, civil companies, joint ownerships, or any other economic unit or separate estate lacking legal personality.
Eligible projects and requirements
Eligible projects are experimental development projects that include technologies such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), virtual reality, robotics, space technologies, advanced connectivity, or other dual-use technologies, and that integrate these technologies into productive value chains.
Projects must meet the following key requirements:
- Have a minimum budget of €400,000 and a maximum of €5,000,000.
- The application period will start the day after the publication of the call summary in the Official State Gazette (BOE) and will close on October 7, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
- The call is under a competitive selection process. Companies may submit up to three projects, with a maximum of two projects funded per entity.
Eligible expenses
Eligible expenses include costs directly related to the experimental development projects carried out by the beneficiary companies, such as personnel, materials, equipment depreciation, external collaborations, and other typical R&D&I costs.
Type and amount of the subsidies
The aid will consist of monetary grants (non-repayable) under a competitive selection process. The total maximum aid amount is €130,000,000. The aid intensity may vary, estimated between 25% and 60% of the project cost.
