DIGIS3 delivers a workshop on school radio and digital technologies at a public school in Castile and Leon

Last Friday, 31 May, DIGIS3 gave a training workshop on “School Radio and Digital Technologies” at the CRA of Riaza (Segovia). The training was aimed at teachers from the centre with the intention of learning how to apply tools such as podcasts, audio editing programs and various technological resources in the classroom.

The CRA of Riaza has pupils in infant, primary and lower secondary school. Its teaching staff, including the management team, attended the workshop, conducted by Carlos Soria (AIR Institute) in the framework of DIGIS3 activities. The content included some keys for effective speaking and communication, elements of radio language and genres, how to build scripts and playlists, introduction to audio editing tools and a practical exercise to learn how to make a commercial spot on school activities. There was also a presentation of the DIGIS3 project, the only European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in Castilla y León and one of twelve in Spain.

By this means, DIGIS3 is contributing to the training and provision of information and services to public entities, such as the CRA of Castilla y León. DIGIS3 is constituted by the University of León (ULE), the Castilla y León Supercomputing Centre Foundation (SCAYLE), DIHBUDIH-LEAF, the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICECYL) and AIR Institute, in addition to multiple affiliated entities and partners that work in the same direction to ensure a smart, sustainable and cohesive digitisation of SMEs and public entities in the region.
