The Palacio de Congresos de Salamanca has held this Thursday the third edition of the congress for the elaboration of the "White Paper for the development of Salamanca" of the newspaper La Gaceta de Salamanca. Representatives of local, provincial and regional institutions, together with prominent businessmen and experts in different areas of the economy met to propose, discuss and design initiatives that will drive the Salamanca economy forward in the coming years.

The president of the AIR Institute, Juan Manuel Corchado Rodríguez, was part of the panel of experts at the round table entitled "Public funds, investments and opportunities to invest in research and cutting-edge technology".
Together with representatives of institutions and companies such as the Junta de Castilla y León, the University of Salamanca, IBSAL, the Pulsed Laser Centre, CaixaBank, Aqualia and FCC, Corchado defended the potential of the province of Salamanca in terms of its possibilities for development as a technology centre and took the opportunity to present the opportunities offered by DIGIS3 for the region's business fabric.
