Salamanca Tech is an initiative of the AIR Institute, partner of the DIGIS3 project, and the BISITE Research Group. Its aim is to promote innovation and technological development in the town, and it is organising a new conference dedicated to the influence of artificial intelligence on the transformation of the business world and its contribution to reducing the carbon footprint, optimising resources and promoting responsible practices. It will be held on 24 November.
The Mayor of Salamanca, Carlos García Carbayo, and the Secretary General of the University of Salamanca, Josefa García, will accompany Juan Manuel Corchado, President of the AIR Institute and Director of the BISITE Research Group, at the opening of the event.
Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Juan Manuel Corchado will then give a lecture on "How AI affects today's business". Then it will be time for a round table discussion in which four experts will debate on "AI, sustainability, financial markets and auditing". The debate will be moderated by Manuel Martín Portillo, Director of Technology - CIO of the Global Exchange Group, and the round table will include Soraya García Merino, Regional Director of Iberia & Latam at Tradedoubler; María Jesús Daza Muñoz, from the Global Exchange Group; José Alberto García Coria, Director of Marketing & Communications at VIEWNEXT; and Luis Enrique Corredera, Director of Digital Transformation and Innovation at Deloitte.
The conference, which will reflect how AI and sustainability are a powerful alliance for the future, will be held on this occasion at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Salamanca, located on the Miguel de Unamuno Campus.
