The final event of the Interreg CYBER project in Brussels highlights the importance of European Digital Innovation Hubs

After 5 years of teamwork with partners from other European regions in France, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia, Estonia and Slovakia, the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE), member of DIGIS3, recently participated in the final event of the Interreg CYBER project. More than 70 people from all over Europe attended the event, among them high-level speakers, representatives of EU institutions and stakeholders interested in cybersecurity issues.

During the event, the progress and results of the project, success stories and the importance of talent in this area were presented.  ICE participated in a panel moderated by Yves Paindaveine, head of the European Digital Innovation Hubs policy area within the European Commission's DG CNECT Directorate General. The main digitisation and cybersecurity needs of SMEs, especially small businesses, were identified, and it was discussed how different instruments can be designed to meet those needs, among which the importance of the services provided by the European Digital Innovation Hubs was highlighted.

DIGIS3, as European Digital Innovation Hub, has a portfolio of services structured around Artificial Intelligence, Supercomputing and advanced digital training, with which to facilitate the digitisation of companies and the public sector, taking into account that cybersecurity is a necessary component in any digital transformation process.
