This week, we participated in the Third National Meeting of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) in Spain, held on October 15 and 16 at the AS5-HUB Building in Gijón.
Organized by Asturias Digital Innovation Hub (AsDIH) in collaboration with the Digital Innovation Hub de Galicia (DIHGIGAL), the meeting featured representatives from key institutions such as the Comisión Europea, the Ministerio de Industria y Turismo, the Escuela de Organización Industrial and the Gobierno del Principado de Asturias. They emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among different hubs to accelerate digital transformation in Spain.
The sessions allowed us to advance in the coordination and unification of criteria for providing services to SMEs within the Support Program for Digital Innovation Hubs (PADIH). This initiative, driven by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism and funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU Funds, is managed by the School of Industrial Organization (EOI) and is part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain. Additionally, we explored new avenues of cooperation between hubs from different regions, promoting synergies that will help us improve the services offered to SMEs and public organizations.
In this context, we had the privilege of presenting our success story on Wednesday, October 16, focused on attracting and retaining businesses. Our presentation, titled "Customer Journey: Attraction and Retention of Businesses," was delivered by María Flor Álvarez Taboada from the Universidad de León, who shared how DIGIS3 has supported companies in the agro-forestry and industrial sectors through innovative digital solutions.
The participation of the entire EDIH network made this meeting a memorable event, filled with great ideas and new perspectives.
