Next Thursday, 19 March, at León Technology Park, the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICECYL), a member of DIGIS3, in collaboration with INCIBE and within the framework of RED ARGOS, is organising “CIBERCYL CONNECT”, an event designed to connect cybersecurity talent with the business community.

What is CIBERCYL CONNECT?

The event aims to promote digital talent, highlight the importance of cybersecurity, and create professional opportunities. CIBERCYL CONNECT also serves as the closing event for ICECYL’s cybersecurity training programme, which has been running in a hybrid format since last September. With a total duration of 200 hours, the initiative has helped to boost employability, technological specialisation and business competitiveness, linking students, professionals and organisations through practical, up-to-date training.

CIBERCYL CONNECT is aimed at three main groups:

  • Students who have taken part in the programme, who will receive certificates and have direct contact with companies in the sector.

  • Companies, which will have access to cybersecurity talent trained through the programme and will be part of the institutional and professional networking activities, while also gaining visibility at a key event for the sector.

  • Institutions and the media, which will be able to see the real impact of the training project, meet participating companies and student talent, and make use of all the facilities available to cover the event.

Agenda and free registration

The event agenda is available on the official website. Highlights include talks such as “Between Algorithms and Threats: The New Reality of Cybersecurity”, delivered by Cristina Muñoz Aycuens (UNIE University); “Building Your Own Path: From Employee to Entrepreneur”, by Aarón Flecha (founder of HackRTU); and the round table “Talent, Business and Cybersecurity”, featuring Jesús Sanz (CSA), Felipe Yagüe (Grupo Mirat and CIBERCYL participant), and representatives from INCIBE and CIBERLUR, moderated by Javier José Martín Limorti, Academic Director of CIBERCYL.

CIBERCYL CONNECT will take place on Thursday 19 March from 09:30 at León Technology Park, with free coach transport available from Salamanca (07:00) and Valladolid (07:45). Registration is free and places are limited to 190 attendees. You can register on the event’s official website.
