Aid for the digital transformation of the industrial sector in the autonomous community of Extremadura.

Purpose

The aim is for these grants to contribute significantly to the digital transformation of industrial companies, with the aim of improving their efficiency, sustainability and productivity, thus contributing to the digitization of the region as a whole.

Addressees

SMEs that meet the following characteristics will have the status of beneficiary entity in accordance with the provisions of these rules:

  • They must be companies with their own legal personality, legally constituted and registered in the corresponding registry.
  • They must have a production center located in the territory of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura.
  • To develop a productive industrial activity and industrial services.
  • They are not part of the public sector.

It will be understood that the applicant entity develops a productive industrial activity and industrial services when the activities for which it is requesting aid are included in any of the following:

  • Production activities on an industrial scale included in Section C #8211 Divisions 10 to 33 of the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE 2009), approved by Royal Decree 475/2007, of April 13, 2007.
  • Industrial service activities.
  • Industrial design: engineering activities and design of machinery, materials, processes and industrial plants, included in CNAE 71.12.
  • Technical testing and analysis included in CNAE 71.20.

Requirements

They will not be able to obtain the condition of beneficiary entity when the following circumstances concur:

  1. Being under the circumstances provided for in Article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies and in Article 12 of Law 6/2011, of March 23, on subsidies of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. Said prohibitions shall also affect those companies which, due to the persons who govern them or other circumstances, may be presumed to be a continuation or which derive, by transformation, merger or succession, from other companies in which the former were involved.
  2. Be subject to an outstanding recovery order following a previous decision of the European Commission declaring an aid unlawful and incompatible with the internal market, or companies in difficulty within the meaning of Articles 1(4)(c) and 2(18) of the General Block Exemption Regulation and the Guidelines on State aid for rescuing and restructuring non-financial firms in difficulty (2014/C 249/01).
  3. Not being up to date with their tax obligations with the State Treasury and with the Autonomous Community Treasury, as well as with their Social Security obligations.

Amount

Expressed as a percentage, aid intensity is defined as the ratio of the gross amount of aid to the eligible investment.

The amount of the subsidy will consist of a percentage of up to 80% of the eligible investment, up to a maximum of 100.000 euros per beneficiary entity./p>

In no case may the amount of the subsidies be such that, alone or in concurrence with other subsidies, aid, income or resources, it exceeds the cost of the subsidized activity.

The awarding of grants shall be limited to the overall amount of the budget credit established in the call for applications, without prejudice to any variations that may occur in accordance with Article 39.4 of Law 6/2011, of March 23, on Subsidies of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura.
