Objective
The grants regulated in this call are intended to support the financing of business projects aimed at promoting innovation in cybersecurity applied to processes, products, and services in companies based in Castilla y León, contributing to the strengthening of business capabilities in cybersecurity.
This call shall not apply to the sectors excluded under Article 1 of the De Minimis Regulation, as established in the first base of the Order of Bases.
These grants are part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), and specifically, they are issued within the framework of Component 15 “Digital connectivity, promotion of cybersecurity and deployment of 5G” and Investment 7 “Cybersecurity: Strengthening the capabilities of citizens, SMEs, and professionals; and Promotion of the sector ecosystem” of the aforementioned PRTR.
Eligible Companies
SMEs and midcaps that have a workplace in Castilla y León and carry out business projects deemed eligible for subsidies, in accordance with the provisions of Specific Provision Four of this call, may qualify as beneficiary companies.
Amount
The aid will consist of a non-repayable grant determined as a minimum fixed percentage of 70% of eligible expenses. The final percentage may be increased based on different quantification criteria, with the maximum applicable percentage being 80% in all cases.
Eligible Projects
The following types of projects aimed at promoting innovation in cybersecurity applied to processes, products, and services are considered eligible for subsidies:
a) Type A Projects: individual projects focused on innovation in cybersecurity applied to business processes, which will allow any company with a registered office or at least one workplace in Castilla y León to improve their level of cybersecurity applied to any business process, with the support of specialized professionals to help them tackle these cybersecurity challenges (excluding digital sector companies as defined in Base Four, section 3).
b) Type B Projects: individual or collaborative projects focusing on innovation in cybersecurity applied to products and services, developed by the company itself, enabling it to ensure its products and services are more secure and meet European and national cybersecurity standards, thereby guaranteeing the cybersecurity protection required by its customers.
Applications, Format, Submission Deadline
In accordance with Article 14 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, electronic processing will be mandatory in all stages of the procedure and must be carried out through the electronic headquarters https://www.tramitacastillayleon.jcyl.es and on the ICECYL website https://empresas.jcyl.es/web/es/plataforma-financiera/ayudas.html, in the Private Area - Client Portal.
The application period ends on December 31, 2025, or upon publication of the abstract of a new call or closure of the current one.
