Beneficiaries
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), according to the definition established by the European Commission in Annex I of Regulation (EU) 651/2014, whatever their legal form, including self-employed entrepreneurs, and which have a workplace in Galicia where the project is to be carried out, may be beneficiaries of this aid.
Small and medium-sized enterprises in any sector of economic activity included in the scope of application of Regulation (EU) 651/2014 may be considered as beneficiaries, taking into account the exceptions indicated in the call for proposals.
SMEs may apply for grants for the types of individual projects described in Article 1.a). 3.
In order to apply for aid for the types of collective projects described in Article 1.b), interested parties must first form a group as provided for in Article 8.3 of Law 9/2007. This grouping must be made up of at least two SMEs with a work centre in Galicia. The implementation commitments undertaken by each member of the grouping, who will also be considered beneficiaries, must be expressly set out in a document. In any case, a single representative of the group (hereinafter the leader) will be appointed as the sole interlocutor with the Administration until the award decision is taken. Once the individual aid has been granted to each SME, each of them will be independent for the processing of the justification and settlement of their aid. In the event that the SME project is coordinated by an intermediate body, the latter will not form part of the group.
In the event that there are links between some of the enterprises in the group, the linked enterprises will count as a single enterprise for the purpose of assessing the project. If all of them are linked, the project will be assessed as several individual applications.
